Sherman goes to San Fran

It looks like the Seattle Seahawks will see plenty of Richard Sherman in the years to come. The Seahawks recently cut their All Pro cornerback instead of paying him $11 million this year as they are revamping their entire defense.

Well, Sherman didn’t go far. According to Adam Schefter, he’s reuniting with the team he helped to eliminate in the 2013 NFC Championship game, the San Francisco 49ers.

“And now it’s done: 49ers and CB Richard Sherman reached agreement tonight on a three-year deal, source tells ESPN.

Sherman is a 49er,” Schefter tweets.

It’s a three-year, $39.15 million contract with a $5 million signing bonus. This sounds to me like it’s a one-year deal where they’ll keep you if you’re great and cut you if you’re mediocre.

Sherman is 29-years old and coming off of a torn Achilles, so he wasn’t expected to break the bank.
