Pats trade Browns for Shelton

It looks like Cleveland Browns’ general manager John Dorsey is trying to wash the stink off of the franchise. Even good players are getting jettisoned, probably for committing the cardinal sin of playing for the Browns.

Dorsey has made yet another move by sending defensive tackle Danny Shelton to the New England Patriots for a 2019 third-round pick, according to Field Yates.

The Browns are trading DT Danny Shelton to the Patriots for a conditional pick, league sources tell @AdamSchefter and me,” Yates tweets.

Shelton was incredible interior run defender in 2017, so this will help bolster a Patriots defense that couldn’t stop the Philadelphia Eagles at any point in the Super Bowl when they needed to. And the Pats will also get a fifth-round pick in return for this year’s NFL Draft.

It’s a good move for the Browns as well who are finally getting serious about overhauling this roster and starting fresh.
