Collins calls Apple a “cancer”

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but it might also cause cancer.

At least that sounds like the case with New York Giants cornerback Eli Apple. The 10th-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Apple has been in the Giants doghouse all season it seems.

And his teammates don’t seem to be in love with him either. The Giants’ stud safety Landon Collins went on a radio show and did not have kind things to say about Apple.

“There’s only just one corner that … needs to grow, and we all know who that is,” Collins said in a Tuesday interview. “(That) first pick … he’s a cancer.”

It’s not often that teammates publicly say that kind of stuff about another. Like, it’s really rare. Apple must be some kind of pain in the ass for a team leader like Collins to say that.
