Will Tyron Smith play against Eagles?

The Dallas Cowboys have a huge game on Sunday night against the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are 8-1 and the Cowboys sit at 5-4. An Eagles win means they would essentially wrap up the division barring catastrophe.

One of the big factors in the Cowboys chances of success will be the availability of left tackle Tyron Smith (groin). He didn’t play last week and Adrian Clayborn has six flipping sacks. The entire offensive line went into the toilet.

So, will he play this week?

According to David Helman of the team’s official website, he didn’t practice again on Thursday.

“No practice for Tyron Smith today, but Dez Bryant will practice #cowboyswire,” Helman tweets.

That’s not good news. He didn’t practice on Wednesday either and two missed practices isn’t a good start to the week. Perhaps they are just trying to keep him fresh and hope that he can go on Sunday night, but so far it’s not looking great.

The other thing is what if he plays and is all banged up? How effective will he be? Eagles fans are praying that he sits.
