Osweiler to face Eagles

The Denver Broncos are in the midst of quite a rough stretch. A few weeks ago they played at the Los Angeles Chargers. Then last week, they had to travel to Kansas City to the play the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. This week? They have to travel to play the 7-1 Philadelphia Eagles.

That is a hell of a three-game stretch. The third game will be even less fun knowing that you lost the last two (actually the last three if you go back to the loss against the awful New York Giants at home). In addition to all the travel, they’ll have a new quarterback.

Trevor Siemian’s decision making was so god awful on Monday night that head coach Vance Joseph is making a change. And I guarantee it’s not a change that he’s thrilled about.

Yes, he’s made the decision to start the former $72 million man, Brock Osweiler.

Osweiler has had a wee bit of success in the NFL. Enough the Houston Texans gave him that massive contract last year sight unseen. But, he was so horrific that the Texans traded him to the Cleveland Browns with a second-round pick. Meaning: Please take him for the love of god. We’ll give you a free draft pick, just get him the hell out of here.

Regardless, the Broncos had to make a switch. They need to do something to mix it up. The Broncos defense is filthy so he won’t need to do a lot to get out of Philly with a win.
