Jags acquire Dareus

The Buffalo Bills have jettisoned several high-profile players like Sammy Watkins and Ron Darby recently, so at this point anyone is game to be sent packing.

The latest big name to go is defensive tackle Marcell Dareus. The Bills have sent Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

That’s it? They must have been truly fed up with him.

The Bills took Dareus with the third-overall pick in 2011 and then gave him a five-year, $95 million contract in 2015. This is just the latest example of the new regime trying to scrub the Doug Whaley stink off the team.

Word is that the Bills have grown tired of Dareus’ poor work ethic and commitment. Hence, sixth-round pick for a guy that was drafted that high and got a huge second contract.
