Embiid to see minutes in the teens

Here we go again. I wonder if this is always going to be a thing with Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid. He’s one of the best players in the NBA, but he’s really fragile so they have to be careful how they play him.

After playing just 31 games last year, the Sixers gave him a huge new contract. Still, head coach Brett Brown says that his minutes will be limited to start the season.

“Brown: ‘I don’t think there’s a solid number (of Embiid’s minutes),’ but says would guess it’s in the teens (to start season).’ #Sixers,” tweets Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times.

Who knows what the future holds for Embiid healthwise. I know that if he’s on the floor, the Sixers are as good as almost (almost!) anyone in the NBA. Yes, I said it. I’m just not sure who out there in the league can guard him. He’s 7′ 2″ and pops threes.

Fingers crossed, Sixers fans.
