Ross to play Thursday

There was speculation on Wednesday from beat reporters that John Ross would be out again for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. They are playing the Houston Texans Thursday night in what could be the absolute worst football game in the last 30 years.

However, the ever-reliable Ian Rapoport says that ross will indeed play in tonight’s game.

“#Bengals WR John Ross is expected to make his pro debut tonight vs #Texans, I’m told. 💨 A knee sprain kept him out of the opener,” Rapoport tweets.

On one hand, I can’t imagine Ross being used significantly because it’s his first NFL game and he’s coming off of an injury. On the other hand, the Bengals offense put up 100 points last week if you subtract 100 points from that total. They were wretched and Ross is a burner.

I wouldn’t put him in my fantasy lineup just yet, but I’d be watching curiously to see how they use him.
