Hunt could start in Kansas City?

One of the biggest position battles to monitor for fantasy football this year will be the running backs in Kansas City. The Chiefs have a handful of okay guys and some who are unproven.

Right now, Spencer Ware is the starting running back. But, could that change? Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride thinks so. One of those unproven guys is a third-round draft pick named Kareem Hunt. Could Hunt earn the starting gig?

“Starting to think Kareem Hunt could potentially work himself into RB1 this preseason. Increasing work with first team as time goes on,” Sweeney tweets.

Ware is a nice player, but he’s not Adrian Peterson in 2007. If Hunt performs really well, he could easily take that job in the preseason. Don’t forget, Andy Reid has been praising his ability to get up to speed quickly.

This is a battle to watch as the preseason goes along. If you’re fantasy draft is in the next week or so, you can probably grab Hunt late. And who knows, he could be your starting RB1 by the time the regular season kicks off.
