Kaepernick to the Ravens?

Since parting ways with the San Francisco 49ers this offseason, everyone has been wondering why Colin Kaepernick has been unsigned. I think we all know that the answer is an amalgam of reasons.

First of all, it’s the taking a knee during the National Anthem thing. People in the NFL all publicly support him, yet they are speaking with their checkbooks. While he has ever right to do it and we all support him, we don’t want to deal with it.

But, exacerbating that issue is the fact that he’s just not nearly as good as he was five years ago. He used to be one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league and he took his team to within a non-pass interference call of a Super Bowl title. If he was still that guy, he’d be employed. Tom Brady could openly masturbate during the Star Spangled Banner and he’d still be a starting NFL quarterback.

But, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, Kaepernick’s unemployment could be coming to an end. Could the Ravens be a possibility?

“Harbaugh said he has been talking to Colin Kaepernick throughout summer. They’re exploring signing him,” Zrebiec tweets.

He could be a good fit there. Rumors have Joe Flacco to be missing anywhere from one to six weeks with a disc issue in his back. And the only other options are Ryan Mallett and some dude Dustin I never heard of. Kaepernick won’t be expensive and he can still win football games. Seems like a perfect fit.
