Crosby picks up 3 assists, slams Subban’s head (video)

The Pittsburgh Penguins opened up a commanding 3-1 lead over the Nashville Predators in the Stanley Cup Finals on Thursday night. And they did so in commanding fashion, opening up a can of whoop ass for a 6-0 win and chasing goalie Pekka Rinne in the process.

Sidney Crosby was excellent as usual, picking up three assists during the game. He also had a moment that most would like to forget. If you like Sidney Crosby, you won’t care. If you hate Sidney Crosby, you’ll point to this as to why he’s a colossal POS.

At one point, Crosby decided to introduce P.K. Subban’s face to the ice. Repeatedly. It’s right here:

That doesn’t look like it’s full of sportsmanship. Is this even allowed in the NHL? I mean I know it’s perfectly legal to drop the gloves and physically assault each other within the confines of the game, but can you really bash a guy’s skull into the ice like this?

Seriously, I’m asking. I’d have to think the NHL is going to take a look at this.
