Bucs expected to pass on Cooper

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently held a mini, three-day rookie camp thing. And like other teams, they’ll occasionally invite a veteran to come in for a tryout.

This year, they brought in former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and everyone’s favorite racist, Riley Cooper. It doesn’t sound like he did terribly well.

“The #Bucs are not expected to sign former Eagles WR Riley Cooper after a three day tryout with the team during rookie minicamp,” tweets Rick Stroud.

Cooper is closing in on 30-years old, but this doesn’t mean he can’t play anymore. Yes, he drops too many balls, but it wasn’t all that long ago (ok, yes, 2013 is a while ago), that he had a good year.

He probably has to show extra well for a team to be willing to add a racist to the locker room. Using the n-word has consequences.
