No timetable for Price debut
- Updated: April 20, 2017
The Boston Red Sox paid through the nose to get David Price back in 2015. And by all means, he’s a great pitcher.
But, so far in 2017, they’ve gotten nothing. Price has been rehabbing a sore left elbow and is working his way back to the mound, but there is still no timetable for him to make his 2017 season debut.
“Price will throw a bullpen tomorrow. But Farrell acknowledged the recent slowdown was the result of “soreness.” Still, threw hard today,” tweets Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe.
They can’t rush him back; they’d be idiots to do so. They simply can’t risk long-term injury with a guy this important to their success. He’s still probably a month away from returning.
