Buchholz finished for the season?

The Philadelphia Phillies are a bad baseball team. Not the worst I’ve ever seen, but they aren’t going anywhere this year. They are so poor that I was actually excited when they added Clay Buchholz, who at one point was a good pitcher in the Majors.
Well, so far he’s been terrible and now we know why. He was recently diagnosed with a tear of his flexor pronator mass, and you don’t need to be a doctor to know that sounds bad.
And according to Jared Carrabis of Bar Stool Sports, Buchholz is having surgery to fix the problem and will be out a long time.
“Source: Clay Buchholz will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair tear of flexor pronator mass (not TJ). Looking at about a 3-5 month recovery,” Carrabis tweets.
The reason I mentioned how awful the Phillies are is because even if he can come back this year…should he? The Phillies will be lucky to be an 80-win team and why would you rush back to join a bunch of September call ups? For who? For what?
The smart thing to do would be to just shut him down for the season.
