Jags visiting with Murray
- Updated: March 11, 2017
If it’s one thing the Jacksonville Jaguars need, it’s to devote more resources to the running back position. Last year, they gave a free agent contract to Chris Ivory and they spent a second-round pick on Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon.
The duo wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Obviously, they still feel like they need more help there.
According to Adam Schefter, the Jags are meeting with Raiders RB Latavius Murray.
“Raiders RB Latavius Murray is scheduled to meet Monday with Jaguars and Tuesday with Seahawks; per source,” Schefter tweets.
If the money is close, I’d hope he picks the Seahawks. In Jacksonville, you don’t win much, you’re never showcased nationally in prime time unless it’s a huge Week 5 matchup on a Thursday night against the Titans, and you’ll be cut in two years when you’re absorbed by their suck.
Other than that, Jacksonville would be a great landing spot.
