Pats need doors blown off for Garoppolo

One of the key focuses of trade talk this NFL offseason will be that of New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. He hasn’t played much in the league, but in the little bit he’s put on tape, he’s looked rather good.

But, the Patriots aren’t going to just hand him over. Tom Curran of CSN New England says that the Pats would really need to be “bowled over” and need someone to “blow their doors off.”

And Curran expects that to happen.

Franchise quarterbacks don’t grow on trees, so if a team thinks that Garoppolo solves their long-term problem at the quarterback position, they should really give up whatever they have to. Some insiders have speculated that Garoppolo is worth a second-round pick.

I call BS. If he’s that good – and he looks to be pretty good – he’ll warrant at least a first-round pick and more. I say no way do they let him got for just a first-round pick.
