Ibaka to the Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have a really good team, but as things stand as of, say, yesterday, they still aren’t good enough to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in a seven-game series. For starters, the Cavs have Lebron James.

Not only that, other matchups don’t look good. Specifically, the power forward. The Raptors have been shuffling guys in and out at the position all year, and the Cavs have Kevin Love.

But, oh how things have changed today. We just found out that Love is going to get his knee scoped and will miss about six weeks. Ouch!

And, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Raptors just traded for Serge Ibaka from the Orlando Magic.

“Orlando is finalizing a trade to send Serge Ibaka to Toronto, league sources tell @TheVertical,” Wojnarowski tweets.

Oh snap! This changes things a bit!

In exchange for Ibaka, the Magic will get Terrence Ross and a 2017 first-round pick. This could shake things up in the East a little bit. Probably not, but it could.
