Sixers taking a “hard look” at Holiday?

Hey, Philadelphia 76ers fans! Remember that guy Jrue Holiday that was a promising young player for your team back in 2013? Yeah, that guy you traded away to start “The Process?”

This might sound odd, but there are reports that the Sixers may want him back. Zach Lowe of ESPN says that the 76ers will take a “hard look” at him if/when he hits free agency at the end of this season.

Will he hit free agency? That’s a different story.

“I’m gonna do everything in my power to keep him here,” New Orleans Pelicans superstud Anthony Davis said, “but it’s a business decision, and he’s a grown man with a family.”

But, if he does, would he go back to the team that sent him packing? He would certainly be a really nice piece for the Sixers…IF he stays healthy. And that’s my big problem with Holiday. I love him as a player, but he played in 34, 40, 65 games from 2013-2015. He says he feels great for the first time in a long time and if that’s really the case, then the Sixers should do what they have to in order to bring him back. He’s still only 26-years old.

And a starting lineup that included Holiday, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid would be pretty nasty. Lord know the Sixers have the cap room to afford them all.
