Phillies sign Michael Saunders

I’m not sure exactly how much better, but the outfield for the Philadelphia Phillies just got better. Last year they might have had the worst outfield in all of baseball. It was brutal.
But, Ken Rosenthal gives us the details on a one-year deal with former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Michael Saunders.
“Sources: Saunders deal with #Phillies one year, $9M with club option. Option worth $11M, can increase to as much as $14M with escalators,” Rosenthal tweets.
Looks like a pretty good buy-low, sell-high move. Saunders was an All Star last year before he fell flat on his face in the second half of the season. Still, he ended up with 24 bombs and the Phillies could use any kind of offensive production from their outfielders. Any. Really. Any.
