Mets and deGrom settle at $4.05 mil

New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom is really good at baseball. In three seasons, he’s got an ERA of 2.74 and has been a colossal stud.
So, his first arbitration has come up and the Mets have come to an agreement with him. And it’s a pretty nice agreement, according to Adam Rubin.
“deGrom, Mets settled at $4.05M + performance bonuses. Highest base ever for 1st-x eligible starting pitcher who didn’t qualify for ERA title,” Rubin tweets.
I wonder if he’d have made more if not for surgery in September to repair ulnar nerve damage in his right elbow.
