Police want to talk to Britt about shooting, stabbing
- Updated: January 13, 2013
Well, it’s the offseason for all but four teams, and since the Tenenssee Titans aren’t one of those four teams, Kenny Britt is in the news for bad reasons. One way or the other, Britt always seems to find himself in or around trouble.
On Saturday night, Britt dropped his brother off at a New Jersey hospital with a stab wound. And police would like to speak with Kenny to see what kind of information he can provide to them. So far, police say that he’s been uncooperative.
“We are looking to speak to Mr. Britt in reference to the incident,” Jersey City Police Capt. Edgar Martinez said on Sunday. “We are currently in the process of trying to do that.”
But, that wasn’t the end of the night. Later on, shots rang out at a house not far from the party where Britt’s brother was stabbed. Police believe the two incidents are connected.
They say that the shot rang out shortly after Britt picked up a friend at the house where the original party had taken place.
“They were all involved in an altercation. So they all knew each other and what was going on,” Martinez said. “That’s why we want to talk to him. He was involved in the incident, both incidents. He was there during that time period. So we are looking to speak to him.
“This is an ongoing investigation, and when the detectives speak to him then we’ll know more. Right now, we have a lot of unanswered questions so we are looking for him to come in and answer some questions for us.”
The fact that Britt has been uncooperative so far says a lot. What a clown.
