Bills trade for Tarvaris Jackson
Hooray to the Seattle Seahawks. On the same day they rid themselves of Terrell Owens, they actually found a trade partner for backup QB Tarvaris Jackson. That’s right, the Buffalo Bills actually gave something up for a marginal-at-best backup QB making $4 million this year.
In exchange for sending the Bills Jackson, the Seahawks will get a late 2013 draft pick. Sounds fair I guess.
This probably means that Tyler Thigpen will get released. It also could mean that Vince Young will be the third-string QB. He has been absolutely lousy in the preseason and he was pretty awful last year in spot duty with the Philadelphia Eagles.
So yeah, maybe it was worth it to give something up for Tarvaris. That’s how bad their backup spot has been so far.
Marginal!?!? Really, what kind of horrible blogging is that. Jackson is better than 29 of the backups out there right now in the nfl.
Fair enough, Aaron. My wording was poor. Marginal at best as a starter was my intention. But that the Bills will be using him as a backup.
