Schiano expects Martin to start

You wouldn’t know who the starting running back is for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers based on their depth chart. A quick glance shows incumbent LeGarrette Blount as the top dog.

However, head coach Greg Schiano has made it clear that he didn’t trade back up into the first round to grab Doug Martin for nothing. He was asked by JoeBucsFan.com if he expected his top three draft picks to be starters.

“Sure hope so,” Schiano said. “Yeah. I mean they’ve been doing very well in camp. And, you know, I think they’re really talented guys and they pick things up very quickly, all three of them. So, that’s our hope. That’s our plan. But you know you can’t make stuff happen. It’s got to happen on the field. But I think it will.”

According to just about every account of those watching Bucs camp, Martin is clearly outplaying everyone else and that includes Blount, who seems to be a lazy turd.
