Former Raven Lewis arrested for failing to pay child support

Jamal Lewis has been out of the NFL for a couple of years now. Another thing that he’s out of is jail. As in, he was placed in jail recently.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lewis was arrested for failing to pay child support. He was charged with child abandonment.

Lewis reportedly has had no contact with his son for more than a year. At least it’s only one child and not a Travis Henry or Shawn Kemp situation.

This comes about four months after Lewis had filed for bankruptcy. Seriously, it’s just troubling to see a former star athlete be out of money so soon. Lewis last played for the Browns in 2009.
