A-Rod to the DL

This is bad news for New York Yankees fans and my fantasy baseball team. In Tuesday night’s game against the Seattle Mariners, King Felix hit several Yankees with pitches. One of which was Alex Rodriguez. The other guys seem to be fine, but A-Rod isn’t.

According to Daniel Barbarisi of the Wall St. Journal, A-Rod has a busted hand.

“Arod has fracture in left hand. Going to DL,” he tweets.

Yes, Rodriguez was popped on the hand and it looked bad. A broken hand will indeed shelve A-Rod for a bit of time, and that ain’t good.

The good news is that the Yankees have a seven-game lead on their nearest competitors in the AL East, so it shouldn’t be a huge problem. That is unless he’s out for a significant period of time, in which case I’ll need to make some serious moves in fantasy.
