No broken ankle for Harper

Bryce Harper gave Washington Nationals fans a brief scare on Friday when he left the game after fouling a ball off of his foot. Those fouls are nasty and can break bones.

However, according to Amanda Comak of the Washington Times, there doesn’t seem to be a crack anywhere.

“X-Rays on Bryce Harper’s ankle/foot were negative. He has a contusion. Davey not sure if he’ll play in nightcap,” she tweeted.

That’s great news for the Nationals that they are even considering letting him play soon. Probably just needs a bit of rest and he’ll be right back out there.
