Knicks could let Lin walk?
This past NBA season, one of the biggest stories (if not the biggest) was the emergence of a nobody point guard from Harvard. Jeremy Lin was a huge star, who continued to put up tons of points night after night, even if nobody had ever heard of him.
He’s now a restricted free agent, but the talk has continued to be that he isn’t going anywhere. However, sources tell ESPN‘s Chris Broussard that his return to the Knicks isn’t as certain as it used to be.
“[S}ources say that if any clubs offer Lin, a restricted free agent, a backloaded contract that pays him an eight-figure salary in the third and fourth years, the Knicks could be given pause about matching the offer,” Broussard writes.
We still don’t see him leaving the Knicks, but you never know. Someone would have to grossly over pay Lin, who still has a lot of his game to work on.
