Celtics and Garnett agree to three-year deal
You may have heard rumors recently about Boston Celtics big man Kevin Garnett mulling retirement. Well, it doesn’t look like that’s happening…not for another three years at least.
The Celtics and Garnett have agreed on a three-year, $34 million contract that will keep Garnett in Celtics green for exactly three years or until they trade him.
This should be great for the Celts. Not only was Garnett playing at a high level at the end of last year, but now he can stay on to mentor the likes of rookies Fab Melo and Jared Sullinger.
Who knows? Maybe even Ray Allen will stick around.
