Tulowitzki out eight weeks
Colorado Rockies slugger Troy Tulowitzki has been dealing with a lot of leg pain lately and he hasn’t known exactly what was causing it. But, after spending some six hours in a doctor’s office yesterday in Philadelphia, he finally found out.
He’s got scar tissue that’s irritating a nerve in his groin. That’s actually the good news because he now knows what it is.
The bad news? He’ll likely need surgery and miss some eight weeks.
“That’s a blessing knowing what it is, but the downside of that is more than likely he’s lost for eight weeks. That’s what we are planning on and will adjust off that,” general manager Dan O’Dowd said. “Like any club, we are built around our best players. Even if we were having an average year rather than a bad year, losing him would be problematic.”
It’s not like the Rockies need him. Sure, he’s a phenomenal player, but the Rockies are god awful. Losing is losing. It doesn’t matter by how many runs.
