Freeman needs X-rays?

Atlanta Braves 1B Freddie Freeman has had a banged up finger. The Braves kept telling us that he was day-to-day with a bruise, but now we see that it could be much worse.

David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says that Freeman will have to undergo X-rays on the finger on Thursday.

“#Braves‬ Freeman has splint on finger, will have it X-rayed tomorrow (no X-ray machine at this new ballpark yet). Could be worse than bruise,” he tweets.

We’ll see what happens, but this would be bad news for the Braves, who are mired in a tight NL East race.

Freeman is hitting just .253 with 8 HR’s this year, but can get hot at any time and provide instant offense. Stay tuned.
