Shocking: John Rocker hates Obama
If President Barack Obama hasn’t heard about this already, he needs to be informed immediately. I’m sure his staff will include this in tomorrow morning’s briefings. A former Major League Baseball pitcher detests Obama.
Former Atlanta Braves closer John Rocker did an interview with World Net Daily about his new book, which has a title and probably talks about his life that we all care so very much about. He says that he’d vote for the devil over Obama in the coming election, and he gives detailed examples of the specific policies that he hates so much.
“Like hopefully a majority of Americans out there, I’ll be voting against President Obama this year,” Rocker said. “I won’t necessarily be voting for the Republican candidate as much as I will be voting against Obama. … This country cannot sustain four more years of his cancerous ideology. … It seems that Governor Romney will be getting my vote, although be it somewhat by default. I would vote for the devil himself over Barack Obama which would actually be tough though as he seems to already be a supporter.”
Wait, no examples? Shocking. Can’t imagine why John Rocker hates Obama. I’m racking my brain, but just can’t come up with why he would hate this president so much, yet not be able to give examples of why. What could it be?
Oh wait. I just found his quotes from the Jeff Pearlman 1999 Sports Illustrated article. Maybe there is some insight into his beliefs here.
“[New York] is the most hectic, nerve-racking city,” Rocker said just moments before he essentially ended his baseball career with the following sentences. “Imagine having to take the [Number] 7 train to the ballpark, looking like you’re [riding through] Beirut next to some kid with purple hair next to some queer with AIDS right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It’s depressing. … The biggest thing I don’t like about New York are the foreigners. I’m not a very big fan of foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?”
