Bill Maher buys a piece of the Mets
You may know Bill Maher as a comic who thinks religion is a complete joke. And that would be correct, he is that. He’ll tell anyone who will listen that he thinks religion is stupid and a root of much evil.
But now, you can now him as something else. Like…an owner of the New York Mets?
Yep, he bought a minority ownership stake in the team recently and is an admitted life-long fan.
“First of all, I think it’s a great investment,” Maher said. “People sometimes forget that there’s only one National League franchise in New York City and they’re not making anymore. I’m a Met fan my whole life and I think it would be a great place.”
So, if you’re a Republican fan of the Mets, you will not be happy about this. Oh, and don’t bother praying for guys like David Wright to get a hit anymore, the owner thinks it’s worthless.
