Red Sox “definitely intend” to trade Youkilis

Despite the fact that the Boston Red Sox have gotten off to a rather lousy start, they are still sitting at just three games back in the division. So, it’s not over for them.

One problem so far has the been the play of Kevin Youkilis, who is hitting just .250 in 96 at-bats. Not helping matters is manager a-hole Bobby Valentine publicly questioning his heart. Not a great idea.

So it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com is reporting that the Red Sox “definitely intend” to trade their usually big-hitting third baseman.

“Red Sox are telling teams they definitely intend to trade Youkilis,” Knobler tweets.

The Phillies and Dodgers could be potential landing spots if the Sox really do look to trade him. I’m not sure how much they’d get for him seeing as how he’s not performing well and is owed $12 million this season.
