Eagles’ Peters ruptures Achilles tendon…again
The 2012 season of the Philadelphia Eagles got off to a bad start in late March when Pro Bowl LT Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles tendon. There was a smidgen of hope that he might be able to play this year, but you can squash that talk.
A league source tells Derrick Gunn of CSNPhilly.com that Peters ruptured the tendon for a second time. Apparently, he was maneuvering in his kitchen when his Roll-A-Bout device broke. It’s expected to set him back about three weeks.
Peters had to have a second surgery to repair his heel.
Ouch. That sucks.
According to Gunn, Peters plans on suing the manufacturer of the device.
