Suggs says he’ll play this year despite Achilles tear
As those of you who read OTR religiously know, Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles tendon recently. Okay, so we never mentioned that, but you’re not a religious OTR reader anyway, so you wouldn’t know.
So yeah, Suggs tore his Achilles recently and will have to have surgery to repair it. That usually means (like in the case of Philadelphia Eagles T Jason Peters) that you’re done for the season. But, Suggs says that it was just a “partial Achilles tear” and that he’ll be back by midseason.
Suggs says that all the reports that had him out for the season “make it so much sweeter when I run out of that tunnel and prove everyone wrong.”
He also thinks that he’ll be better than he was before once he gets healthy.
“I’ve never had a real bad injury before,” Suggs said. “Sometimes you have to go through something like this to make you better.”
