Kostitsyn and Radulov suspended for Game 3

Nothing sucks more than having to make an example out of a couple guys and punish the whole team. The Nashville Predators are down 2-0 to the Phoenix Coyotes in the best-of-seven second round series and could use all the help they can get. So, suspending a guy who is tied for team lead in goals and another guy who is plus-3 in the playoffs is not a good thing.

But, the Predators did what they felt they had to do. They said that Andrei Kostitsyn and Alexander Radulov were in violation of team rules and will be suspended for Game 3, according to Josh Cooper of The Tennessean.

“AK46 an Radulov out of Game 3 for a violation of team rules,” Cooper tweets.

The real story seems to be that they were out until 4 a.m. the night before Game 2. That’s pretty bad and you put the coaches and team in a bad position. They can’t let that behavior slide and now you are very close to helping your team to a 3-0 hole. Well done.
