Cowboys shopping Mike Jenkins?
On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys jumped up to the No. 6-overall pick so they could grab LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne. They also signed Brandon Carr this offseason and have Orlando Scandrick as their slot guy. So, where does that leave former first-round pick Mike Jenkins?
On the trading block, according to Profootballtalk.com.
“Per league source, with Mo Claiborne in the fold the Cowboys are shopping Mike Jenkins,” PFT tweets.
Jenkins is coming off an injury and is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He’s been very good at times, and woefully awful at others. The Cowboys obviously aren’t thrilled with him or they wouldn’t have traded up to get Claiborne and thrown big free agent money at Carr.
