Burfict and Hosley test positive for drugs
During the last six months or so, when the topic of linebackers and the 2012 NFL Draft came up, Arizona State’s Vontaze Burfict was always discussed. He was considered to be towards the top of the class and a potential first-round pick. But, that seems like forever ago. And now, teams don’t seem to care for his play on the field nor his conduct off of it, and this latest report isn’t going to help.
Jay Glazer of Foxsports.com is reporting that NFL teams were told this week that Burfict and Virginia Tech CB JayRon Hosley (no idea who that is and don’t care) tested positive for drugs.
“NFL teams were informed this week of 2 more players of note who have flunked drug tests: ASU LB Vontaze Burfict and Va Tech CB JayRon Hosley,” Glazer tweets.
Many reports said that Burfict was going to go undrafted before this recent failed drug test. If teams questioned his character and decision making before, then this surely cemented any thoughts in their heads that he’s a turd and needs to get help for his drug addiction and possibly seek a rehab in Florida. You have to know that teams have character concerns about you, correct? Wouldn’t you do everything in your power to prove them wrong? Like not taking drugs?
