Dolphins owner pushing for Tannehill?

Tons of mock drafts say tons of stuff that isn’t true. And tons of pre-draft reports say even more stuff that is less truer (how is that for grammar?). But, most experts/mock drafter have Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill falling no farther than No. 8 to the Miami Dolphins.

Do the Miami Dolphins even want him? They need a quarterback. But, who the hell knows?

One influential person inside the Dolphins might want him, according to a report by ProFootballTalk.com. That person would be owner Stephen Ross.

A source tells PFT that Ross is the man “pushing hardest” for the team to draft the guy that is rated the third-highest QB on most teams’ draft charts.

We don’t know what to think about this. On one hand, the Dolphins or anyone else could be putting out nonsense reports. On the other hand, if Ross really is pushing for Tannehill, shouldn’t he back off and let the plumber fix the sink? What does Gloria Estefan think? Does Marc Anthony prefer Justin Blackmon? Does he know that he probably won’t be available at No. 8?

Seriously, we hope the owner isn’t getting involved in draft decisions.
