Bowe gets the franchise tag from the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs had a couple decisions to make regarding who they were going to slap with the franchise tag. And with just a few minutes to go to be able to use it, they made their decision.

Dwayne Bowe has gotten the tag.

As soon as he signs the one-year deal, he’ll be guaranteed around $9 million for this season.

Bowe wants a long-term contract and supposedly is looking for more money than the kind that Vincent Jackson will likely command on the open market. Not sure that’s going to happen.

Bowe had a great year last yea with 81 catches. And that’s with no running game and the likes of Tyler Palko throwing him the ball for several games.
