Racist mattress commercial

Well, it’s Friday, and you know what that means. That’s right, racist commercials!

It’s actually not Racist Commercials Friday here at OTR, but should we start doing that? After getting into YouTube’s “racist commercial” searches, it’s clear that there are no shortage of racist commercials. We’ll have to give that some thought.

Regardless, here is a great racist mattress commercial. In defense of Gary, he does seem to make fun of all races and religions, so he isn’t singling anyone out.

Gary seems like the kind of guy who has had success selling mattresses, so he thinks he knows everything about marketing. We’ve dealt with people like this. “No, it will be funny, I’ve got this great idea for a commercial…” Then he finds some camera crew who doesn’t care and just wants to get paid, so they’ll tell him it’s great and everyone will love it.
