Victoria Jackson’s new show is comic gold (video)

There have been moments over the course of Saturday Night Live‘s history where there was sheer brilliance. The kind of innovative and hysterical humor that made its mark on generations.

Victoria Jackson was part of some of those casts, even if she herself was never the shining star. She did a good job overall though, and it is upsetting to many to see what she’s become. Once a Saturday night comedic darling, she’s now a neo-conservative nutjob whose performances now resemble a circus act instead of a sketch comedy show.

So, here’s her new show, Politichicks. She teams up with Jennie Jones, Jannique Stewart and Ann-Marie Murrell (who the hell are these women?) to form a panel show that makes Fox News’ The Five look like a liberal MSNBC roundtable armed with facts.

In short, this is unintentional comedic gold. Victoria herself is a one-woman sideshow of ridiculous hijinx. Whether she’s playing her anti-Muslim song while they are supposed to be talking about gay marriage, or making comments like, “I know a guy who has a friend who worked in a meat factory so it’s definitely true.” I’m paraphrasing, but it’s in there.

As a whole, the black woman is by far the brightest and there isn’t a close second. These morons have no facts whatsoever, and frequently start sentences with “I heard…” OTR prays and hopes that enough people watch this that they continue to make new episodes. It is indeed hysterical and we can’t wait for more.
