Referee attacked at youth football game (video)
Well isn’t this brilliant? Coaches and players at a youth football game in Florida did a great job here by showing how truly stupid they can be.
The coaches of the Sarasota Gators clearly were not happy with the decisions the referee was making in their game against the North Port Huskies on Saturday. So, they took to the field to have a little tete-a-tete with him. And that is where things escalated, to the point where a damn player decided to full-on tackle the ref as though he was caught behind the line on third-and-one.
“For adults who have been entrusted with mentoring the youth of our community, the actions displayed are beyond disappointing,” Sarasota sheriff Tom Knight said. “The video speaks for itself.”
Dexter Knight, 43; Timothy Howard, 38; Antonio Bradley, 28, and the teenager Jamison Saintvale, have all been charegd with one count of battery against an official. That’s a felony in Florida, hope is was worth it. There should be even stiffer penalties when this kind of behavior is displayed by supposed leaders in front of kids.
