Ed Reed’s brother missing after jumping into the Mississippi River
This isn’t good. According to WWLTV, the brother of Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed has gone missing after jumping into the Mississippi River Friday night in an attempt to avoid police.
Deputies say that they saw Brian Reed go under the surface, never to reappear.
“The suspect jumped into the river, went about 15 feet according to the deputy,” said Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, a spokesman for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. “At some particular point they said he did witness hands and head come up and go under the water and never resurface again.”
According to the police, Reed was driving a vehicle that matched the description of a car that was seen running another car off of the road. Later on, deputies determined that he may have been driving a stolen car.
“A chase was involved. The subject actually ran across the levee and the levee batcher with the deputy in chase,” LaGrange said.
