Jets’ Edwards catches a DWI
If it’s 5:15 AM and it’s still Monday for you, while it’s Tuesday for everyone else, you are most likely up to no good. In the case of New York Jets WR Braylon Edwards, it meant that he was driving around while intoxicated.
And, oh yeah, the police noticed. He was pulled over Tuesday morning (still Monday night for him) for having overly tinted windows, when police observed him to be housed. And, indeed he was. He blew a 0.16 on the Breathalyzer, which is twice the state of New York’s legal limit.

“We are very disappointed in Braylon’s actions this morning. The Player Protect program is in place for our organization to prevent this situation. Braylon is aware of this program and showed poor judgment,” the Jets said.
“We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures.”
Braylonis scheduled to be arraigned later today.
Update: Also in the vehicle when Edwards was pulled over?
Teammates D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Vernon Gholston.
