Ellsbury back to the DL
The Boston Red Sox have placed OF Jacoby Ellsbury back on the Mark Prior List (DL) with rib-cage pain. The move is retroactive to May 25.
So essentially, the Red Sox are saying that his ribs never really healed perfectly before. It remains to be seen if he’ll be ok in two weeks.
In the meantime, Mike Cameron and Jeremy Hermida will be in the lineup against right-handed pitching. Bill Hall and Darnell McDonald will see time against lefties.
